Obituary for Yvonne C. Hanshue

Hanshue (Tousey), Yvonne C.- The matriarch of her family, left this world at 85 years old, in the early morning on December 30, 2019 to reunite with her beloved husband, Wade K. Hanshue, with family by her side.
Yvonne, also known as Tootie and Nanny, was born May 13, 1934 to the late Carl and Evelyn (Baragar) Tousey. Yvonne was a woman who exuded compassion when caring for others in need. During her youth, she studied nursing and used these skills as a nurse to care for the geriatric and mother and infant patients. She spent her later years in customer service and always had a good story to share. Besides working, Yvonne enjoyed traveling, crafting, sewing, interior decorating and spending time with her friends and family. Yvonne shared her life with Wade Hanshue for 61 adventurous years and was left broken hearted when he passed in December of 2015. Their years together were filled with love, laughter and creating life long memories. Together, they designed and built a home in Grant, Michigan, where they raised their 5 children; Rene Mitchell, Michelle Mansfield, Wade (Renee) Hanshue, Scott (Sharon) Hanshue and Russell (Lisa) Hanshue. Anyone who knew her, knew she loved her family, including 13 grandchildren; Monique (Dawn) Murray, Dylan Molina, Anna (Dustin) Ingersoll, Clinton (Joanna Leao) Mansfield, Ashley (Jason) Wiggins, Richard Mansfield, Rylee (Chris) Atkins, Wade, Wyatt, Blake, Garrett, Isabelle, Nicholas Hanshue, Brittany (Alex) Achino. As the generations grew, so did their love for the family. With 13 great-grandchildren; Skylar Foster, Shannon, Sayer and Sean Molina, Gauge, Keenan and Kyzer Ingersoll, Ella and Jase Wiggins, Wade Hanshue, Makayla Mansfield, Michael and Austin Adkins. Yvonne is also survived by her sisters Sharon (Dick) Stolcenberg, Terri Tousey and Jerry (Cleora) Tousey as well as other nieces and nephews. At Yvonne’s request, family will be celebrating her life on January 11th at Fields-McKinley Funeral in Newaygo, Michigan. Family is welcoming visitors from 10AM-11AM, with a memorial following at 11AM. After the memorial a luncheon will be served at the VFW Post 4249 in Newaygo, Michigan.
