Obituary for Steven Lee Bitely

Steven Lee Bitely, 69, of Grant, passed away on June 30, 2019 in Muskegon, MI.

He was born on August 12, 1949 to Richard and Lois (Hoaglin) Bitely in Grant, MI. Steven worked as a mechanic for Alta Lift Trucks. On November 7, 1987 he married Darlene Aishe. Steven enjoyed collecting coins, traveling around Michigan to see all the different lighthouses, and spending time with family and grandchildren.

Steven is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Darrin (Denise) Bitely, Stacy (Scott) Celmer, Troy (Shelley) Bitely, Tanya (Steve) Cooper, Shannon (Josh) Bierly, Eric Hicks, Jeniffer (Matt) Hoaglin, Katie (Max) Bartholomew; twenty-two grandchildren; eight great-grandchilden; brother, Robert (Suzette) Bitely; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dicky Bitely.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 12, 2019 at Resonate Church, 302 E 68th St, Newaygo, MI 49337. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are suggested to the Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence - Harbor Hospice, 2065 E Mt Garfield Rd, Muskegon, MI 49444.
