Obituary for Lynn Reed

Lynn Reed, 79, of Newaygo, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 20, 2020. He was born on April 23, 1941 to Lawrence and Flora (Coburn) Reed in Newaygo, Michigan. He graduated from Newaygo High School. Lynn was a self employed Insurance Salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church- Newaygo where he lead singing for over 40 years.He loved being surrounded by family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fishman. On June 30th, 1979 he married Virginia Bennett Reed. Lynn is survived by his wife Virginia, son Lynn (Julie) Reed Jr.; daughters Lora Darbyshire, Kelly (Daren) Wilson, Becky (Josh) Wittenberger; his sister Emma (Norman) Croff; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeff Reed, his daughter Sheryl Reed, infant son Matthew Mark Reed, by his brother Larry Reed, his first wife Molly Reed. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church - Newaygo with Pastor Tim Shaw officiating. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church-Newaygo.
