Obituary for Evelyn Mae Slott

Evelyn Mae Slott, 90, of Howard City, passed away on July 17, 2020 at the Newaygo County Medical Care Facility in Fremont, Michigan. She was born on June 30, 1930 to John and Alice (Gibson) Slott in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She graduated from Muskegon Senior High School in 1950 and earned her Master's Degree from Central Michigan University. Evelyn was a Teacher at Mona Shores Public Schools. She was a member of National Education Association and the Michigan Education Association. Evelyn is survived by her brother John R. Slott of Grand Rapids; two sisters: Lorraine Bull of Bailey, Joan (Chuck) Ransom of Grant; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Rice Lake Baptist Church with funeral services at 1:00 pm with Pastor Daniel Fullmer officiating. Burial will take place in the North Ensley Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Newaygo Co. Animal Shelter. Please share your memories of Evelyn online at www.fieldsmckinley.com.
