Obituary for Diane Elizabeth Berriman

Diane Elizabeth Berriman, age 71 most recently residing in Newaygo, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by her beloved pets and two of her daughters. Diane lived in Newaygo from 2014 until her death and previously resided Prescott, and was formerly from Detroit. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting, painting, cooking, glass blowing, stained glass, and riding motorcycles with her husband. She owned a stained glass blowing shop (Xanadu Stained Glass) with her husband for many years in Westbranch and was known for her artistic ability as she created many beautiful pieces.

Diane is survived by her children, Sheri (Duane) duChemin of Newaygo, Robert Berriman, Jr. of California, Kimberly Berriman of Lubbock, TX., and Alexandria (Tino) DeWeerde of Las Vegas, NV., grandchildren, Daniella, Catarina, Christian, and Andres and great grandchildren, Violet and Asher. Also surviving is her brother, Joseph Tica of Detroit and her beloved dog and protector, Molly and cats, Magic and Ellie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Diane and Milan Tica, her husband, Robert Berriman and a daughter Shanara Berriman. She cherished the friendship of many.

A strong faith and trust in the Lord carries the family through this difficult time. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

There will not be a visitation or a funeral, per Diane’s request. If you would like to make a donation in her name she would be honored if you would support Lake Haven Rescue of Newaygo or Spectrum Hospice.
