Mrs. Sherry Dawn Smentkowski, Age 47 of Goodyear, AZ, formerly of Newaygo, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 in Goodyear.  She was born Sherry Dawn Hanlon in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Shirley Anne (Mulder) and Paul Eli Hanlon on August 8, 1963. She married Gregory Frances Smentkowski on May 25, 1985 in Newaygo.  She was a homemaker.  She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Goodyear, Arizona and was an active member of the Millennium High School Band Boosters in Goodyear.  She is survived by her husband Gregory Smentkowski of Goodyear, AZ, her children Aaron, Jared, Sarah, and Hannah Smentkowski all of Goodyear, AZ. Her father Paul Hanlon of Ft. Myers, FL, her sisters Paula & John Veneklase of Wyoming, MI and Cindy & Doug Parrott of Spartanburg, SC and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Hanlon. The Funeral Liturgy will be held from the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Father Pete Schafer officiating.  Interment in St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Newaygo.  Visitation will be held 2‑4 & 7‑9 PM Thursday at McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo.  For memorials please consider the Smentkowski Children’s Educational Fund c/o Independent Bank West Michigan.   ‑ McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo 231‑652‑5613.  http:\\mckinleyfuneral.com
