Mrs. Elaine E. Cierlak, age 86 of Grant, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 Fountainview Retirement Home in Grant.   She was born Elaine Ellen Nelson in Kent City, the daughter of Julia (Hansen) and Harold Carl Nelson on March 3, 1924. She married Chester Cierlak on June 23, 1947 in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1981. She was a Homemaker all her life and was a member of Grant Community Church (formerly Grant UCC).       

 She is survived by her daughters Caren & Keith VanSingel of Grant, Julie Haveman of Grand Rapids, Christie Cierlak & Bruce Lubben of Stanton, 9 grandchildren,14 great‑grandchildren, and her brother Carl & Phyllis Nelson of Grant,.  She was preceded in death by daughters Judy Collins, Lisa Cierlak, and son-in-law Steve Haveman.

Private Memorial Graveside services will be held the Parkview Cemetery with Pastor Steve VanderWest officiating.     For memorials please consider the Grant Community Church (formerly Grant UCC) and/or Hospice of Michigan.  Please leave condolences at www.mckinleyfuneral.com.
