Mr. Michael S. McCaffrey, age 41 of Newaygo, died suddenly Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his home. He was born Michael Sean McCaffrey in San Jose, California the son of Ruth Charlotte (Roos) and Dennis McCaffrey on November 17, 1968. He owned and operated Saior Custom Furniture Refinishing.

He is survived by his son Timothy Graham, his daughter Rachel McCaffrey, his father Dennis & Katherine McCaffrey, his sister Erin Ludwick, and his brothers Roger & Olga Ederer, Ronald Ederer, Michael & Amy Ederer and 12 nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth McCaffrey.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo Chapel on Saturday, August 7, 2010 with Rev. David Dickinson officiating. For memorials please consider the Michigan Commission for the Blind, 201 N. Washington, 2nd Floor, P.O. Box 30652, Lansing, MI 48909.

 I ran into Mike a few years ago at a store after probably 20 years of not seeing him.  He was as friendly and interested in my life as I remembered him being.  Didn't know him very well but he seemed to be a genuinely nice guy.  We shared a little together about spiritual things and he said he knew Jesus Christ.
I am glad he shared that with me.  For Jesus said to the thief who believed while hanging on the cross, "today you will be with Me in Paradise".
