Mrs. Hope B. Stroud, age 95 of Fremont, and formerly of Grant, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility near Fremont.   She was born Hope Berniece Ebel in Bronx, New York the daughter of Sadie (Barry) and Robert Norman Ebel on March 10, 1915. She married James Arthur Stroud on July 30, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1990. She was a Homemaker all her life and was a member of Grant Community Church.       

She is survived by her daughter Janet & Charlie Jones of Jenison, son in law Ernie Heath of Grandville, her grandchildren Gene & Diane Heath, Rhonda & Dave Sharp, Lynn & Phil Styburski, Joseph & Pam Jones, 10 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, her brother Robert Ebel of Newaygo, her sisters Gladys Beuschel, Charlotte Keller both of Grand Rapids, her sister in law Betty Ebel of Jenison, and several nieces & nephews. She was also preceded in death by daughter Faye in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Funeral Home - Grant Chapel, on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 with Pastor Steve Vander West officiating. Interment will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Grant.   Visitation will be held 2‑5 PM Tuesday. For Memorials please consider the Charity of your choice.  Please send condolences to www.mckinleyfuneral.com.
