Mrs. Betty J. Frey, age 79 of Grant, and formerly of Bailey, died Monday, October 12, 2009 at Fountianview Retirement Village of Grant.   She was born Betty Jane Hoaglin in Muskegon, the daughter of Carrie L. (Hartman) and Clarence Hoaglin on January 26, 1930. She married Donald Wilbur Frey on July 5, 1947 in Ensley Center and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2007. She was a Baker for Hilltop Bakery, Bailey until 1990 retiring after 30 years. She was a member of Bailey Christian Church.       

She is survived by her children Dale & Donna Frey of Grand Rapids, Norma Bonter of Grant, Diane Frey of Bailey, 8 grandchildren, 20 great‑grandhchildren, her 7 siblings, and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 with Mr. Daren Penwell officiating. Interment will be in the Seaman Cemetery near Bailey.   Visitation will be 6‑8 PM Tuesday. For Memorials please consider the Bailey Christian Church.   Please sign the on line guest book at www.mckinleyfuneral.com.
