Mrs‎. ‎Shirley Marie Nienhuis, Age ‎74 ‎of Newaygo, died Saturday, October ‎11‎, ‎2008 ‎in Croton ‎Twp‎.. ‎She was born Shirley Marie Oakes in Fremont, Michigan the daughter of Zoe ‎(‎Potter‎) ‎and Burt Oakes on ‎May ‎13‎, ‎1934‎. ‎She married Robert Nienhuis on February ‎21‎, ‎1953 ‎in Sand Lake and he preceded her in ‎death on January ‎16‎, ‎1979‎. ‎She was a homemaker. ‎ She is survived by her children Kathi & T.J. Korbel of Holland, KY, Michael & Robin Nienhuis of Grand Haven, Shirley Little of Panama City, FL, and Robert Nienhuis of Redlands, CA.  Also by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her sister Jessie Keck of Grant, her brother Leon Oakes of Huntingdon, TN and many nieces and nephews.  Private family memorial services will be held.
