Mrs. Leora Ann Higgs (Blain), Age 98 of Newaygo, died Saturday, November
08, 2008 in Fremont. She was born Leora Ann Ream in Alberta, Canada, the
daughter of Elenor Mary (Rairden) and Frank Ream on November 26, 1909.
She was a Registered Nurse for the Grant Hospital & The Meadows Nursing Home in
Fremont until her retirement. She was attended the New Community Church
in Newaygo. She is survived by her sons Frank & Nancy Blain of Fremont,
and Carl & Jenny Blain of Newaygo, 8 grandchildren, many great
grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM from the New Community Church
in Newaygo on Saturday, November 22, 2008 with Pastor Case Van Wyk
officiating. For memorials please consider the Helen DeVos Children’s
