Was so sorry to hear of Herman's passing. I just found out about it today, which was too late to attend the funeral. I was one of his main drivers from the Commission on Aging for dialysis and I became quite close with him over the past few years. My wife and I have been out to breakfast with him at the Legion and he always asked about her whenever he saw me. Just like with your own children, you are not supposed to have favorites in my job - however one cannot help get attached to someone as nice as Herman was. He will surely be missed by all. May God be with the family. Sincerely, Bob & Laurie McGhan - Newaygo.

I use to work at Newaygo Medical Care Facility in the activity dept. I use to see Mr. Christensen every day I worked. He took good care of his wife. I could truly tell how much he loved her. He use to tell me all about how he worked as a mechanic, and how his wife was a good teacher. I felt we had that in common because I am now a certified teacher and my husband is a mechanic. I loved all his stories! He will be missed.

My father, Ward Rasmussen, was Herman's first cousin. They had not seen each other since they were small children in Racine, WI. The family resemblance was remarkable as they aged. Please accept deepest condolences from Herman Sam Christensen, Sr.'s sister Esther's family in California. Joan Rasmussen and children, Kris, Jane, John, and Paul.
