Mr. Lyle R. Atwood, age 51 of Grant, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at his home in Grant Twp.. He was born Lyle Rodney Atwood in Muskegon, the son of Margaret M. (Maus) and Clarence Russell Atwood on December 30, 1956. He married Karina Bonter on March 17, 2006 in Key West, FL. He was a Truss Builder for United Building Centers/Timberroots. He was a member of American Paint Horse Assoc., American quarter-horse; Assoc.; Percheron Horse Association.

He is survived by his wife Karina Atwood, his children Adam Atwood, Jordan Atwood, Andrea Kasnowicz, Steve Miller, 4 grandchildren, his mother Margaret Atwood of Muskegon, his brothers & sister Fred & Carolyn Atwood of Arizona, Charles & Jannie Atwood, Gene & Jan Atwood, Cheri & Jeff Goddard, Jeff & Yvonne Atwood all of Muskegon, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Atwood.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Monday, August 25, 2008 with Pastor Patricia Bromberek and Mr. Steve Potter officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday. For Memorials please consider the American Cancer Society.
