Mrs. Kathleen A. Bowen, age 63 of Newaygo, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at her home in Croton Twp.. She was born Kathleen Ardis Medacco in Muskegon, the daughter of Dorothy Gertrude (Collins) and Steven Paul Medacco on November 12, 1944. She married Donnie Wayne Bowen on November 26, 1961 in Muskegon. She was a Homemaker all her life. She is survived by her husband Donnie Bowen, her children Misty Figueroa of Manistee, Don & Barb Bowen of Newaygo, Faron & Mary Bowen of Grand Rapids, her daughter-in-law Tammy Bowen of Manistee, 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandhildren, her sister and brothers Pamela Medacco of Manistee, Tim Medacco of Muskegon, Steven Parsons of Manistee. She was preceded in death by her son Mark Bowen. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, on Thursday, March 13, 2008 with Pastor Rob Henderson officiating. I remember Kathy fondly from the Kelloggsville days, and years later we ended up running into each other at a tribal meeting between LRB and GTB and it was great to meet and talk and catch up on things. To Steve Parsons and Family...I always wondered what happend to you, Steve, after high school graduation. WHen I read the newspaper and noticed the name "BOWEN" I read the information given and spotted your name...I am sorry about your sister. Having lost a brother years ago and more recently my mother, I feel for you all.May GOD BLESS... You were a fine young man in our high school days, and I assume you are a fine man yet today. Mrs. Bowen was such a kind and loving person. I feel very fortunate to have known her and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her surviving family members.
I'm so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing.She is a wonderful woman.She was a great friend.I will forever have her in my heart.There were many wonderful memories.
