Mr. Nelson "Ernie" Jordan, age 69 of Grant, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at his home in Ashland Twp.. He was born Nelson Erwin Jordan in Grant, the son of Edith Mae (Stocker) and Ezra Harrison Jordan on July 18, 1937, but was raised by his aunt Clara & Uncle Clare Gould. He married Patsy J. Puff on September 17, 1959 in Grant. He was a Core Maker for 30 years at CWC Textron, Muskegon until 1989.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Jordan, his sons Rick & Debra Jordan, Mark & Helen Jordan both of Grant, his grandchildren Michelle, Tiffany, Haylie, Ashley, Erick & Tristan, his sister Opal & Jake Pickerd of Grant, his sister-in-law Elaine Jordan of Newaygo, brother-in-law Richard & Patricia Puff of Grant, several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers & sister Albert Jordan, Ezra Jordan, James Watts, Henry Jordan, John Jordan, Mary Hayward.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM from the North Casnovia Baptist Church, Bailey on Thursday, April 12, 2007 with Pastor Kelly Carlson officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Center Cemetery near Grant. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home-Grant Chapel.
