Mr. Glen E. Renney, age 75 of Grant, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at his home. He was born Glen Eugene Renney in Grant, the son of Florence Irene (Babb) and Robert Renney on June 27, 1931. He married Patricia Lou Baker on December 15, 1961 in Newaygo. He was a Tool Engineer for Die-Matic Tool & Die, Grand Rapids until his retirement June 1, 1995 after 28 years. He was a member of Grant Wesleyan Church. He was a member of Newaygo Pilgrim Masonic Lodge #131; Newaygo-White Cloud Unity Eastern Star #61; and was a Newaygo County Deputy Sheriff 1958 - 1961.

He is survived by his wife Patricia L. Renney, his daughter Peggy & Harvey Comrie of Norton Shores, his son Robert Wolff of Bath, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, his sister & brothers Dorothy Buchanan of Sparta, Robert & Ella Renney of Ludington, Ralph & Patricia Renney of Grand Rapids, Thomas & Virginia Renney of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph November 4, 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M from the McKinley Funeral Homes-Grant Chapel, on Saturday, March 10, 2007 with Pastor Jonathan White officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Center Cemetery near Grant. Visitation will held 7-9 PM Friday. For Memorials please consider the Grant Wesleyan Church Building Fund. Sorry to hear of Glen's death. Although I have not seen him in many years, I do remember him at Grant High School and being a teammate on the football team. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.
