Mr. Elwyn Perry McGrady, Age 93 of Bailey, died Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born Elwyn Perry McGrady in Bailey, the son of Melva (Rogers) and Floyd McGrady on September 26, 1913. He married Ruth Alphena Hendrickson on October 29, 1038 in Elkhart, Indiana and she preceded him in death on May 24, 1999. He was a Machinist for Continental-Teledyne, Muskegon for 27 years until his retirement in 1969. He was also a dairy farmer for many years and a member of the Farm Bureau, Trent Grange and the North Casnovia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children Jeanette & Jerry Parker, Susann & John McKinley all of Fruitport, Melvin & Beth McGrady of Portland, Kathryn McKinley of Muskegon, Lila & Tom Muma of Grant, 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 1 great-greatgranddaughter, several nieces & nephews. He was also preceded in death by daughter Joan Ekkel in 1988 and his sister Lenna Passage in 2006.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P. M. from the North Casnovia Baptist Church, Bailey on Saturday, January 20, 2007 with Pastor Kelly Carlson officiating. Interment will be in the Seaman Cemetery near Bailey. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at North Casnovia Baptist Church.
