Mr. Byron O. Russell, age 72 of Newaygo, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at St. Mary's Mercy Medical Center in Grand Rapids. He was born Byron Orvilla Russell in Casnovia, the son of Jessie (Remisera) and Henry Blueford Russell on October 20, 1934. He was a Welder/Machinist for Wilde's Manufacturing, Bailey until 1991. He was a member of VFW Post #4249, Newaygo; Croton American Legion #381. He was a veteran having served in the Marines during the Korean War from April 8, 1952 to April 7, 1955 when he was discharged as a CPL.

He is survived by son Wade Russell of Grant.

At Mr. Russell's request there will be no services or visitation.
