Mrs. Ivah L. Wood, age 96 of Fremont, and formerly of the Bailey-Grant area, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility near Fremont. She was born Ivah Leone Chesebro in Grant, the daughter of Anna Isadore (Osborn) and Jesse Chesebro on March 26, 1909. She married Earl Melvin Wood on November 26, 1927 in Warsaw, Indiana and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1983. She was a Home Maker all her life and was a member of Bailey Christian Church.

She is survived by her children Donna & Lloyd Fowler of Newaygo, Marcia & Rupert McGinn of Grand Rapids, Kelly & Diane Wood of Moncks Corner, SC, daughter-in-law Bernice Wood of Bailey, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law William Huyser in 1996 and son Keith Wood in 2001.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 with Mr. Daren Penwell officiating. Interment will be in the Seaman Cemetery near Bailey.
