Douglas Salacina, our loving partner in life, our father, our son, our brother, passed away suddenly on April 28th, 2006 in Hill City, South Dakota. He will be dearly missed by his fiancée Betsy Bougie, children Derrick and Lindsey Salacina, grand daughter Jennica, mother Helen, sisters Karen Dobrowolski and husband Dave, Sheri Foss and husband Rod, brother David and wife Candice, Beverly Weglarz and husband Mick, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and co-workers. Doug was an avid sportsman and lover of the outdoors and a simple life. He worked hard to make a difference in the lives of children and was a constant light in the life of many. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 1:00 PM from the McKinley Funeral Home in Newaygo. A luncheon will follow at the Camp Henry Nicely Activities Center. The family asks that donations be made to: Bethany Christian Services, 6995 W. 48th Street, Fremont, MI 49412.
