Mrs. Wava F. Beth, age 95 of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Sherman Twp. near Fremont. She was born Wava Fern Jewell in Algoma Twp., Kent County, Michigan the daughter of Sarah L. (Norton) and John L. Jewell on February 24, 1910. She married Henry Beth on March 31, 1931 in Newaygo, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1985. She was a Elementary School Teacher for Newaygo Public Schools-Vera Wilsie Elementary retiring in 1970 after 25 years. She was a member of Newaygo United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star of Newaygo. She is survived by her daughters Elaine & Gene Sorden of Grant and Anne Ward of Woodridge, IL, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M from the Newaygo United Methodist Church, on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 with Pastor Sandra Spahr officiating. Interment will be in Algoma Cemetery near Rockford. Visitation will be held 6-8 P. M. Tuesday at McKinley Newaygo Chapel.
