Mrs. Vivian I. Garber, age 82 of Newaygo, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Transitional Health Services near Fremont.   She was born Vivian Irene Boyd in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Gertrude Ethel (Acken) and Levi Eugene Boyd on August 12, 1923. She married Walter Fred Garber on November 4, 1940 in Newaygo, and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1984. She was a Homemaker all her life.   She was an active member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4249 Auxiliary for many years and the Croton American Legion.  

  

 

She is survived by her sisters & brother-in-law Diane Boyd,Marciel Brinks, Emory Mallatte, Doris Maple and several nieces & nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

 

A Funeral Memorial Luncheon will be held 11:00 A. M., Monday, November 28, 2005 at the VFW Post #4249 Newaygo with Auxiliary Chaplain Garnet Abbott officiating.  There will be no  visitation.  For Memorials please consider the Auxiliary of VFW Post #4249 Newaygo.
