Mr. Lloyd L. Stone, age 86 of Grand Rapids, and formerly of Grant, died Thursday, July 28, 2005 at his residence in Grand Rapids. He was born Lloyd Lewis Stone in Fremont, the son of Grace (Reed) and Clifford Stone on September 18, 1918. He married Helen M. Stuart on September 20, 1940 in Grant, and she preceded him in death on June 17, 1994. He then married Leatha Holcomb Roat on July 22, 1995 in Pontiac. He was a self-employed Dairy Farmer until 1980. He was a member of Grant United Church of Christ; the Federal Land Bank Board for 27 yrs for the Hart & Grand Rapids areas; the Michigan Farmers Union and was a former Ashland Township Trustee & Supervisor for many years.

He is survived by his wife Leatha, his children Stuart & Kay Stone of Grant, Donald & Ann Stone of Pontiac, Katherine Stone of Littleton, CO, Phyllis Stone of Fremont.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A. M from the Grant United Church of Christ, on Saturday, August 13, 2005 with Pastor Mike Gesler & Pastor Kennyon Edwards officiating.
