Mr. Howard L. Newberry, age 74 of Newaygo, died Monday, May 16, 2005 At St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. He was born Howard Lee Newberry in Grand Rapids, the son of Velza Hazel (McCall) and Walter Earl Newberry on August 20, 1930. He married Evelyn Marie Bryson on December 26, 1952 in Grand Rapids. He was a Pressman for Bissell Graphics, Grand Rapids until 1988. He was a Charter Member Croton American Legion #381.

His is survived by his wife Evelyn Marie Newberry, his children Gordon & Judy Newberry, Shannon & Ronald Baron, Sheilah & Chris Dykstra, grandchildren Corey & Laura Battenfield, Jason & Dana Battenfield, Ryann Marie Dykstra, Tyler Bruce Dykstra, Kelsi Marie Baron, Tommy Lee & Michelle Maurer, Jr., Jeff & Michelle Frey, Jason & Melanie Frey,Jeremey & Amy Frey, 12 great-grandchildren, his brother Donald James Newberry. He was precede in death by his son Greg Lee Newberry, his parents Walter & Velza Newberry and sister Maxine (Mickey) Miller.
