Mrs. Gloria E. Hanes, aged 74, of Newaygo, died Monday, December 19, 2005 in Fremont. She was born Gloria Elaine Topping August 15, 1931 in Howard City, the daughter of Irma Ruth (Seamon) and Glenn J. Topping.  She married Royal D. Hanes April 29, 1950 in Ensley Center and he preceded her in death December 8, 1979. She is survived by her children Kathleen & Howard Dulin of Howard City, Sherrilyn Davis of Newaygo, Steven Hanes of Newaygo, Special Friends Albert Steil and Julie Helmholdt, her grandchildren Stephanie & Doughlas Vandecar, Sean Davis, and Timothy J. Davis, her great grandchildren Andria, Bridgit, Jessica Welch and Karlie Vandecar. She was preceded in death by her two brothers. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the McKinley Newaygo Chapel. Interment will be in the North Ensley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday 7-9 P. M. and also 1-3 P. M. on Wednesday. Dear Family, We are so very sorry to read of the death of Gloria. I will always remember her as my neighbor on Ewing St. and also working with my kids @ Steve's. I haave not seen her much since I moved, but I will miss her. Sincerely, Judy Saum-Anderson and family.
