Longcore (Grant Twp.) - Gary Lee Longcore was called home by the Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2005 after a very courageous battle with cancer.  He was born December 26, 1950 to Leo and Beatrice (Pickard) Longcore.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Ron and Dale and father-in-law Jack Moore. 

He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years Cindy, his children G. Daniel & Melissa Longcore, Amy Wismar & Troy Smith, Nick & Christina Longcore, grandchildren Brady & Madison, Casey & Jarrod, Devin & Kelsey, brothers and sisters Robert & Geneva, Walt & Clara, Norma & Bill, Bruce & Margaret, Larry, Lavonne & Ed, Tom & Marlene, Mother-in-law Evelyn Moore, sister-in-law Jackie & Curt Martens, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Gary worked at Federal Mogul in Sparta until his cancer forced his retirement after 32 years.  He attended North Casnovia Baptist Church where his funeral will be held at 1:00 P. M. Thursday, May 26, 2005 with Pastors Carlson, Smith & Kennison officiating.  Interment South Casnovia Cemetery near Casnovia.  Friends may meet the family at the McKinley Grant Chapel from 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Wednesday, May 25 and one hour prior to the service at the Church.
