Mr. Carl Frederick Wisner, Age 88 of Newaygo died Friday, May 13, 2005 in
Fremont. He was born Carl Frederick Wisner in Lowell Twp. Kent Co., Michigan
the son of Emma B. (Senden) and Fred C. Wisner on October 22, 1916. He married
Dorothy May Leonard on February 14, 1986 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a
Tool & Die maker for Clare Tool & Die until his retirement in 1981. He was a
member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids and attended St. Mark’s
Episcopal Church in Newaygo. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
#830 and American Legion Post #2. He was a veteran having served in the Navy
during World War II from June 12, 1945 to June 27, 1946 when he was discharged
as a Motor Machinist Mate 3/c.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Wisner of Newaygo; his Step Daughter
Bonnie Maten of Gowen; his step daughter in law Chris Haisma of Newaygo; 4
grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.He was
preceded in death by his son Dale Wisner in 1992 and his step Son Richard Haisma
in 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel on
Tuesday, May 17, 2005 with Father John English officiating. Visitation will be
2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. For memorial contributions please consider St. Paul’s
