Mr. Volyn Rex Robinson, age 77 of Newaygo, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Campus in East Grand Rapids. He was born Volyn Rex Robinson in Grand Rapids, the son of Jessie (Coan) and Volyn Robinson on February 28, 1927. He married Marilyn Mae Senft on February 6, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Truck Driver for Gilliland's Trucking, Fremont until 1988 after 30 + years. He was a member of Catholic Faith and a Life member of the VFW Post #4249 Newaygo and a member of the Moose Lodge of Fremont. He was also an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Robinson, his children Susan & Dr. Daniel Drumm of Ada, Ted Robinson of Clinton Twp., his grandchildren Christopher Drumm, Mollie Drumm, Kevin Drumm, his sister Doreen & Ken Bayne of Casnovia, and brother Larrie & Carol Robinson of Cedar Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, on Saturday, August 28, 2004. Interment will be in the St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Newaygo with Military graveside honors under the auspices of the VFW Post #4249 of Newaygo. Visitation will be held 7-9 P. M. Friday.
