Mr. Merril C. Forker, age 91 of Newaygo, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility near Fremont. He was born Merril Clayton Forker in the son of Bertha () and Henry Forker on July 5, 1912. He married Lillian Eillen Botsford on September 16, 1960 in Comstock Park. He was a Laborer for Joe Brown & Sons, Grand Rapids until 1980. He was a member of St Mark's Episcopal Church, Newaygo and a member of Teamster's Local Union #406. He is survived by his wife Lillian Forker, his daughters Diana & Allando Collazo of Wyoming, Terri & Howard Maki of Newaygo, 4 grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Curly Forker in 1988. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. from the St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Newaygo on Friday, July 2, 2004 with The Rev. Mary Frens officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-2 P. M. Friday. For Memorials please consider the St. Mark's Episcopal Church Lighting Fund.
