Mr. Laurence A. Boyd, age 89 of Newaygo, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at his residence in Croton Twp.. He was born Laurence Arthur Boyd in Ensley Twp, Newaygo Co., MI the son of Adeline Mae (Thompson) and Willard Fred Boyd on August 5, 1914. He married Olive Jones on July 22, 1939 in Ensley Twp.. He was a self-employed vegetable farmer for 45 years until 1984.

He is survived by his wife Olive Boyd, his sons Laurence & Kay Boyd of Brooklyn, MI, James & Stella Boyd of Litchfield Park, AZ, 8 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Monday, February 02, 2004, with his son Laurence Boyd II officiating.  There will be no visitation. For Memorials please consider Hospice of Michigan - Newaygo County.
