Mr. Harold Junior Durant, age 79 of Newaygo, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at his residence in Newaygo. He was born Harold Junior Durant in Flint, the son of Naomia Emily (Howay) and Harold Sanford Durant on January 19, 1925. He married Maurine A Parise on August 15, 1964 in Flint Michigan and she preceded him in death on November 19, 1999. He was a Truck Driver for Complete Auto Transmit, Flint until 1987. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4249; American Legion Post #381; Voiture #721 and 40 & 8 Croton; White Cloud Eagles Aire Post #4170; Teamsters #332. He was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II from March 23, 1943 to November 30, 1945 when he was discharged as a PFC.

He is survived by his children Paul Durant of Davidson, Karen Klee of Flint, Jeanette Simmons of Flint, daughter-in-law Judy Durant of Fenton, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

At Mr. Durant's request there will be no services or visitation.
