Mrs. Dorothy J. Westbrook, age 75 of Newaygo, died Monday, February 2, 2004 at Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born Dorothy Jean Bode in Grant, the daughter of Leona (Bean) and Herman Bode on January 3, 1929. She married Leo Herbert Westbrook on May 13, 1950 in Newaygo. She was a Homemaker all her life, was a member of the Newaygo United Methodist Church, Life member the VFW Post #4249 Auxilary and a member of the Antique Farm Power Club.

She is survived by her husband Leo Westbrook, her children Mary Jane & John Cook, Lee Ann & Chris Hesse, Leo, Jr. & Kathleen Westbrook all of Newaygo, 8 grandchildren, and her first great-grandchild is expected in March, her brothers & sister Herman & Marilyn Bode, Jane Bode-Fowler all of Sun City, FL, Alfred & Sue Bode, and Jim & Jo Bode all of Newaygo.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P M from the Newaygo United Methodist Church, on Friday, February 6, 2004 with Rev. Sandra L. Spahr officiating. Interment will be in the Croton Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Thursday at the McKinley Newaygo Chapel. For Memorials please consider the Newaygo United Methodist Church Children's Fund.
