Mrs. Doris E. LaLonde, ge 87 of Newaygo, died Saturday, July 31, 2004 at her home in Croton Township. She was born Doris Edith Meade in Newaygo, the daughter of Lottie Harriet (Robinson) and Frederick Stanley Meade on September 16, 1916. She married Myron George Engle in 1937 in Newaygo and he preceded her in death in 1977 after forty loving years together. She married Anderson Boyd Hindman of Pennsylvania in 1979 and he preceded her in death in 1989. She went on to marry Louis La Londe on February 16, 1996 in Bay City Doris was a homemaker and a doll collector. .

She is survived by her husband: Louis LaLonde, her sons Ronald & Sharon Engle of Newaygo, Rodger & Cheryl Engle of White Cloud, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her sisters Betty Peasley, Ella Meade both of Wyoming, and Ann & Jack Clifford of Sparta, several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother William Meade.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P. M. from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, on Tuesday, August 3, 2004. Interment will be in the Newaygo Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Monday. For Memorials please consider Hospice of Michigan-Newaygo County.
