Mrs. Alberta J. Wells, age 81 of Newaygo, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 in Grand Rapids. She was born Alberta Juanieta Gillmore in Stanwood, Michigan the daughter of Hazel Vashty (Dailey) and Marshall Nay Gillmore on March 2, 1923. She married Clyde Homer Wells on December 5, 1942 in Newaygo and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2003. She was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of Croton Community Church and the Croton Church Circle.

She is survived by her sons Arthur & Peggy Wells of Newaygo, Blain & Carol Wells of Jacksonville, FL, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her sisters Irma Erickson of Stanwood and Hazel Johansen of Wyoming.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A. M from the Croton Community Church, Croton Township, Newaygo on Saturday, October 30, 2004 with Pastor Donald Chrysler officiating. Interment will be in the Croton Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Friday at the McKinley Newaygo Chapel. For Memorials please consider the Croton Community Church.
