Mr. Thomas John LaVelle, Age 67 of Newaygo died Saturday, August 30, 2003 in Croton Twp. He was born Thomas John LaVelle in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Minnie (Cook) and William John LaVelle on May 20, 1936. He married Bonnie Marie Larabel on December 1, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a Circuit Tester for Ameritech/SBC until his retirement. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. He was a member of Croton American Legion; Newaygo Co. Sportsman's Club and the Moose Lodge, Sparta. He was a veteran having served in the Air Force from September 21, 1954 to September 20, 1958 when he was discharged as a A/1C (P).

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM from the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Newaygo on Wednesday, September 03, 2003 with Father Loc Trinh officiating. Memorials: St. Bartholomew Catholic Church or Croton American Legion.
