Mrs. Mildred R. "Holton" Sowles, age 82 of Fremont, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003 Transitional Health Services in Fremont.. She was born Mildred Rhodema Landrey in Oxford, MI the daughter of May B. (Burt) and Edwin Landrey on March 12, 1921. She married Jack Munroe Holton on November 10, 1950 in Newaygo, Michigan and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1083. She then married Walter Scott Sowles on January 10, 1985 in Fremont, Michigan and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2003. She was a Sales Clerk for Grossman Department Store, Muskegon until December, 1983.

She is survived by sons Larry & Mary Lou Sowles of Muskegon, Gordon & Marlene Sowles of Whitehall, Rodney & Nancy Sowles of Muskegon, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her nieces Ila Mae & Don Lynnes of White Cloud, Sharon & Ron Ferguson of Big Rapids and she preceded in death by niece Audrey Folkema in 2002.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the Fremont Christian Church (DOC) on Saturday, December 20, 2003 with Pastor David A. Dickinson officiating. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 A. M. - 1:00 P. M. service time. For Memorials the Fremont Christian Church (DOC).
