Mr. John  VanBarnveld, Age 79 of Howard City, died Sunday, April 20, 2003. He was born John VanBarnveld in Breukelen, Netherlands the son of Geertruida (VanSelm) and Pieter VanBarnveld on June 12, 1923. He married Elly Vos on October 12, 1952 in Orangeville, Ontario. He was a Carpenter for C.D. Barnes Construction for 25 years until his retirement in 1987.  He also was a self employed beef farmer.  He was a member of Grant Christian Reformed Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the Grant Christian Reformed Church, on Monday, April 21, 2003 with Pastor Case Van Wyk officiating. Visitation will be held the hour before the funeral service at the church.  Memorials: Grant Christian School or Hospice of Michigan - Newaygo Co., c/o Fremont Area Community Foundation.
