Mr. Jerry J. Ferguson, age 65 of Newaygo,died Thursday, December 5, 2003 at Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. He was born Jerry Jim Ferguson in Fremont, the son of Alta May (Halpin) and Carl Ferguson on March 19, 1938. He married Delores Smart Newfer on May 3, 1974 in Newaygo. He was a kitchen manager for Cronk's Restaurant. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church-Newaygo.

He is survived by his wife Delores Ferguson, his children James & Christina Newfer of Hesperia, Ricky & Barbara Newfer, Martin & Tammi Newfer, Mary & Steven Franklin, Delores & Michael LaFontsee all of Newaygo, Andrew & Pamela Newfer of White Cloud, Harold Jr. & Tami Newfer of Muskegon, Mark Ferguson of White Cloud, Terri Dutcher of White Cloud, 19 grandchildren, his parents Peg & George Fitzpatrick of Newaygo. He was preceded in death his father Carl Ferguson in 1985.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, Newaygo on Monday, December 08, 2003 with Father Loc Trinh officiating. Interment will be in the Newaygo Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 P. M. Sunday.
