- Mrs. Irene E. Sweet, Age 90 of Grant, Michigan died Thursday, June 26,
2003 in City of Grant. She was born Irene Elaine Wolff in Grant, MI the
daughter of Lettie Louise (Thompson) and John Gerald Wolff on June 14, 1913.
She married Don Orin Sweet on June 29, 1940 in Muskegon, MI and he preceded
her in death on March 5, 1999. She was a Public School Teacher for Holton
Public Schools until 1972. She was a member of Newaygo Co.Teachers Retirement
Assoc.; Ashland Grange; Queen Rebecca Lodge. She
is survived by her brothers & sisters Robert & Inez Wolff, Alverne & Merrill
Eady, Florence & Arlie Hibbs all of Grant, Carroll & Marge Wolff of Nashville,
Geraldine Peets of Muskegon, sisters-in-law Gertrude
Doctor of Grand Rapids & Pearl Sweet of Grant, and several special nieces &
nephews. Funeral services will be held at
11:00 A. M from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Monday, June 30, 2003 with Rev.
John Moser officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 2-5 P. M. Sunday.
