Mrs. Doris F. Slater, age 80 of Muskegon, died Friday, October 24, 2003 in Stuart, Florida. She was born Doris Faye Chase in Grant, the daughter of Agnes Hilda (Wells) and Isaac Lincoln Chase on June 23, 1923. She married Rolland Campbell on October 29, 1942 in Grant, Michigan and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1971. She then married George Slater on September 7, 1976 in Muskegon, Michigan and he preceded her in death on ___________________. She was a Inspector for 37 years at Howmet until 1988.

She is survived by her daughters Judith & Dan Dolan of Stuart, FL, Bonnie & Clarence Kuzma, Deborah & James Elliott, Pamela & Dan Stowell all of Muskegon, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, her sisters & brothers Lois Tanis of Sparta, Vernon Chase of Muskegon, Ilene & Lawrence Hubbard of Grant, Jean & Leon Hubbard of Twin Lake, Joyce & Lloyd Hopper of Whitehall, Donna & Addison Moore of Grant, Allen & Donna Chase of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by sons Rolland Campbell in 1943, Gerald Campbell in 1948 and Jerry Campbell in 1959.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Thursday, October 30, 2003 with Pastor Jonathan White officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Center Cemetery near Grant. Visitation will be held

7-9 P. M. Wednesday.
