Mr. Stig Samuel Soderquist, Age 78 of Grant, died Wednesday, February 19, 2003. He was born Stig Samuel Soderquist in Sjalevad, Sweden the son of Ingeborg (Soderquist) and Johnny Angnell on August 18, 1924. He married Rachel Kristina Magdalena Westman on July 21, 1946 in Sweden. He was a Self Employed Builder. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fremont and the Swedish American Heritage Society. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Rachel, wonderful father of Margareth Grills, Steven & his wife Mary Ann Soderquist. Superb grandfather of Christopher, Scoti, Swane and Tanja and great grandfather of Seth and Mallorie and a special friend to all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the First Baptist Church-Fremont, on Saturday, February 22, 2003 with Pastor Clyde Afman officiating. Interment in Ashland Center Cemetery. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at McKinley Grant Chapel. Memorials: First Baptist Church of Fremont.
