- Mr. Lonnie D. Giffen, Sr., Age 62 of Fremont, Michigan died Saturday, June
14, 2003 in Fremont. He was born Lonnie Duane Giffen, Sr. in Debutte, OK the
son of Mary Frances (Moblie) and Ernest Leo Giffen on April 17, 1941. He
married Vera Jean Welch on October 6, 1979 in Howard City, Michigan. He was a
Laborer for VanSingel Farms until 1998. He attended Believers Bible Church in
Newaygo. He is survived by his wife Vera Giffen, his children Diana Giffen of
TN, Felicia Giffen of Grand Rapids, Tina & Vincent
Lewis of Grand Rapids, Janet Giffen of Grand Rapids, Lonnie, Jr. & Sherry
Giffen of White Cloud, special granddaughter Madlyn Giffen, 14 grandchildren,
his brother 7 sisters Larry & Carleen Giffen of AZ, LeRoy & Helen Giffen of
AZ, Elaine & Joe Roth of AZ, Evelyn & Ed Burbaker of OR, Terry Pike of OK,
John Bailey of OR, his mother-in-law Maxine Michaels & the Welch of
families,several nieces & nephews. Funeral
services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on
Wednesday, June 18, 2003 with Pastor Ted Deur
officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday 11:00 A. M. - 1:00 P. M.
