Mr. Wayne P. Davis age 49 of Big Prairie Twp, Newaygo, Michigan died Thursday
February 13, 1997 near White Cloud, MI. He was born Wayne Patrick Davis in Grand Rapids,
Michigan the son of Shirley Arlene (Mitchell) and George Junior Davis on October 2, 1952.
He married Rhonda Armstrong on Oct. 21, 1977 in Rockford, MI. He was a Machinist for
Rothbury Engineering until his health forced his retirement. He was a member of the
Croton American Legion Post 381.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda Davis of Newaygo, MI,
his children Tommy & Teresa Davis of Wisconsin Dells, WS, Tennile & Manrick Garza of
Spring Lake, MI, Tanya Davis of California, four grandchildren, his sisters
Arlene & Harold Browers of Cedar Springs, MI, Sharon & Tony McGarry of Grant, MI,
Janet Browers of Lansing, MI, his brothers George & Barbara Davis of Newaygo, MI,
William & Kim Davis of Sand Lake, MI, Raymond Davis of Newaygo, MI, Michael & Terry
Davis of Sand Lake, MI, Ronald & Amber Davis of Newaygo, MI, Roger Davis of
White Cloud, MI, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by
his brother Richard in 1978.
Funeral services and internment will be at 11:00 A. M. in the Newaygo Cemetery on Monday, August 12,
2002 with Pastor Robert Baker officiating. Military Honors will be under the auspices of the
Croton American Legion Post #381.
