Mr. Walter E. Henry age 79 of Grant, Michigan entered into the presence of his Savior
Friday February 15, 2002 at Gerber Memorial Health Services, Fremont, MI. He was born
Walter Emery Henry in Grant, Michigan the son of Georgia P. Smith and John Henry Henry
on December 11, 1922. He married Betty Jene Harmon on February 4, 1942 in White Cloud,
Michigan. He was a Milk Truck Driver for Michigan Milk Producers until 1987. He
attended North Casnovia Baptist Church. He was a member of Ashland Grange for 50 years;
Ashland Odd Fellows.
He is survived by wife Betty Henry of Grant, his son Bob & Marlene Henry of Grant,
his Grandchildren Shari & Scott Veldman of Coopersville, Lisa Henry of Grand Rapids,
Joe & Tammy Purcell of Grant, Tammy Swanson of Newaygo, Rob Robinson of Grant,
Walter & Mary Robinson of Grant, 3 Step-Grandchildren,his great-grandchildren
Steve & Melissa Veldman, Jenna, Cassie, Ted Purcell, Andrew Swanson,
Megan & Regina Robinson, Emery, Hunter, & Haley Robinson, 4 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
His Brothers and Sisters Dale & Pauline Henry, Bill & Charlene Henry, and Bonnie
Hilbrand. He was preceded in death by daughters Delores Marsman, and Karen Robinson,
A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 A. M. followed by the funeral services
at 11:00 A M from the North Casnovia Baptist Church, Bailey, on Tuesday, February 19, 2002
with Pastor Kelly Carlson officiating. Interment in Ashland Center Cemetery.
Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Monday at McKinley Grant Chapel. For memorials please consider
