Mrs. Mabel E. Johnson age 89 of Brooks Twp., Newaygo, Michigan Formerly of Grant died
Sunday, May 19, 2002 at Gerber Memorial Health Services,  Fremont, MI. She was
born Mabel Edith Krise in Middleburry, Indiana the daughter of Dora (Yoder) and Henry
Krise on April 23, 1913. She married Herbert O. Johnson on June 10, 1933 in Sault Ste.
Marie, MI and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1981. She was a Homemaker all her
life and was a former member of the Rice Lake Baptist Church near Grant.
She is survived by her sons David Johnson of Newaygo, Mi, Max & Lila Johnson of Grant, MI,
Raymond Johnson of Brohman, MI,  Nylan & Alfrieda Johnson of Grant, MI,
Mervin Johnson & Karen of White Cloud, MI, Marvin Johnson of Grant, MI,
thirty-three grandchildren,and many great-grandchildren, her brother Henry C. Krise of White Cloud, MI,
and several nephews & nieces.,
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel,
on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 with Rev. Don DeVlieger officiating. Interment will be in the Colburn
Cemetery in Strongs, MI. Graveside services will be at 3:30 P. M. Visitation wil be held
9:00-10:00 A. M. Wednesday. For memorials please consider the Johnson Family.
