Mrs. Lorna D. Knapp age 85 of Newaygo, Michigan died Saturday April 6, 2002 at
Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon, MI. She was born Lorna Dorothy Monroe
in Belding, Michigan the daughter of Emma (Kilts) and Henry Monroe on May 30, 1916. She
married Herman G. Knapp on August 24, 1945 in Muskegon, Michigan and he preceded her in
death on September 5, 1995. She was a Homemaker all her life. She was a member of
Hesperia American Legion Auxillary.
She is survived by her children Joseph & Vickie Faino of Prudentville, MI,
Roseann & Richard Boeskool of Lacota, MI, Rodney Knapp of Kinder, LA,
Toni & Joe Tovey of Newaygo, MI, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren,
her sister Millie & Clayton Knowles of Twin Lake, MI.
She was preceded in death by brothers Donald Monroe & Burr Monroe and
sister Jean Lapekas.
Visitation will be held 2-4 P. M. Monday, April 8 2002 at the Mckinley Funeral
Homes in Newaygo. There will be no funeral services. For memorials please consider the
Leukemia Foundation or the Heart Association.
