Mrs. Lois J. Freeland age 63 of Kent City, Michigan after a courageous battle with cancer
went to be with her Lord Friday August 30, 2002 at her residence. She was born
Lois Jean Zoet in Blendon Twp, Ottawa County, Michigan the daughter of Dena (Ter Haar)
and John Zoet on October 1, 1938.
She married Robert Freeland on August 1, 1959 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was
a homemaker all her life. She was a member of Kent City Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Robert Freeland of Kent City, MI, her children
Daniel & Wendy Freeland of Kent City, MI, Kirk & Billie Freeland of Bailey, MI,
Amy & John McKee of Rockford, MI, her grandchildren Doug, Cherry, Mallory & Lauren,
her brothers and sister Russell & Charlene Zoet of Fairview, TN,
Nelson & Mabel Zoet of Wyoming, MI, Shirley & Dave Schutter of Kent City, MI,
her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Bjork of Kent City, MI,
Barth & Janice Freeland of Kent City, MI, Bernice Zoet of Newaygo, MI.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. from the Kent City Baptist Church
on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 with Pastor Thomas Hammond officiating.
Family Prayer 10:45 A. M.
Interment will be in the Chubbuck-Pinewood Cemetery near Kent City.
Visitation will be held 7-9 P. M. Sunday and 7-9 P. M. Monday at the
McKinley Grant Chapel. For memorials please consider Hospice of Michigan-Kent County,
