Mr. Levi Boyd, Jr. age 66 of Newaygo, Michigan died Wednesday February 06, 2002 at
his residence in Newaygo. He was born Levi Boyd, Jr. in Newaygo, Michigan the son of
Gertrude Acken and Levi Boyd, Sr. on February 22, 1935. He married Diane Sue Shisler
Sipperley on September 17, 1975 in Fremont, Michigan. He was a Truck Driver for ACE
Trucking, Moline, MI. He was a member of American Legion Post #381 in Croton.
He was a veteran having served in the Navy during the Korean War from 09/26/52 to
02/10/56 when he was discharged as a SN.
He is survived by wife Diane Boyd of Newaygo, his children Douglas & Shirley Sipperley of Muckwonago, WI,
Rick & Shona Sipperley of Newaygo, Scott Sipperley of Rockford, Kathy & Steve Cathcart of WA,
Lisa & Frank Jocis of Ravenna, Tamara Brown of Newaygo, Russell Boyd of Greenville,
Eric & Maureen Sipperley of Zeeland, Jeffery Boyd of Greenville, Patrick & Marian Sipperley of Newaygo,
Bryan Sipperley of Newaygo, special nephew Troy Emery of Ravenna, 26 Grandchildren,
3 Great-Grandchildren, brother Kenneth Boyd of Cedar Springs, sister Opal Stray of Newaygo, sister Vivian Garber of Newaygo, several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by 7 Brothers & Sisters.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A M from the McKinley Funeral Homes-Grant Chapel
on Friday, February 08, 2002 with Eric Jon Sipperley officiating.  Military Honors were under auspices of the
VFW Post #4249 of Newaygo. Visitation was 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Thursday. For memorials please consider the Hospice of Newaygo County C/O The Fremont Area Foundation.
