Ms. Leah Ann Schascheck age 16 of Croton Twp., Howard City, Michigan died Monday June
17, 2002 at Linden and M-82 intersection in Brooks Twp.,Newaygo from injuries she
receivedin a car accident. She was born Leah Ann Schascheck in Jacksonville, North
Carolina the daughter of Patricia Ann (Longenecker) and Kevin Schascheck on October 11,
1985. She was a Senior at Tri County High School.
She attended Ensley Baptist Church. She was a member of the Tri County Pomp
Pomp Squad and the Varsity Cheerleader Basketball squad. she was training for Cosmetology
at Career Center and did modeling at Barbizon Modeling. She is survived by her Mother
Patricia Emma & fiance Tom VanderKlok, Howard City; her father Kevin & Beth
Schascheck, Climax; 2 Sisters Ashley Schascheck, Battle Creek, and Melissa Emma, Howard
City; Brother Kevin Schascheck, Climax; her Grandparents Billy & Kitty Longenecker,
Kalamazoo; Butch & Pat Schascheck, Flint; Ron & Judy Nowak, PawPaw; Frank &
Clara Roberts, Scotts;
Grant & Doris Frielink, Delton; Milford & Maxine Johnson, Delton; Christy Sykes,
Kalamazoo;Thelma Roberts, Galesburg; Several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P M from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, on Friday,
June 21, 2002 with Rev. Bruce Sabados officiating . Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
